Solution Architect – Systems Landscape Review (4-6 week consulting engagement)
We’re seeking an experienced Solution Architect for a short-term consulting engagement. This is an initial 4–6 week engagement focused on conducting a systems landscape review across the organisation. You’ll scan and assess existing systems in use across core functions, identifying overlaps, gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a comprehensive systems landscape review across the organisation
• Engage with stakeholders across departments to understand workflows, technology use, and pain points.
• Assess a wide range of systems (off-the-shelf, bespoke, Excel-based, team-managed, IT-managed).
• Document current state and produce a high-level view of system architecture, integrations, and data flows.
• Identify risks (e.g. duplication, poor scalability, data silos), and outline potential opportunities for simplification or modernisation.
• Optionally (if confirmed), support a data discovery workstream as a second phase.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or systems consulting.
• Strong analytical capability and the ability to interpret complex system environments with limited documentation.
• Comfortable working in traditional/legacy environments, with systems at varying levels of maturity and governance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work with both business and IT teams.
• Ability to deliver structured insights quickly and independently.
• Previous experience in membership, education, public sector, or non-profit organisations is a bonus.
