Product Manager
£495 per day | Inside IR35 | Mostly remote, travel to Newcastle every 3 weeks

We’re recruiting for an experienced Product Manager to join a major government digital delivery programme. This role sits within a GDS-aligned environment and would suit someone who is confident operating in structured public sector teams, shaping digital products through early phases of delivery and working closely with stakeholders to deliver user-centred outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Manager with proven UK Government / GDS experience, strong agile delivery capability, and a track record of working across discovery and alpha within multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product thinking and delivery across discovery and early delivery phases
• Shape and manage product direction in line with user needs, policy intent and delivery priorities
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including design, delivery, engineering and analysis
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and support effective prioritisation and decision-making
• Define and refine product backlogs, goals and priorities to enable iterative delivery
• Contribute to the delivery of complex digital services within a structured public sector environment

Required experience

• Proven UK Government / GDS experience within digital delivery environments
• Strong Product Management experience, including ownership of complex digital services
• Experience working in multidisciplinary agile teams across discovery and alpha phases
• Demonstratable track record of operating within discovery and alpha phases
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and influence decision-making
