I’m partnering with a fast growing cloud consultancy creating scalable systems across complex, high impact environments.

Looking to hire an experienced Lead / Principal Software Engineer to play a key technical leadership role across multiple delivery teams.This is a hands-on, senior engineering role for someone who enjoys shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and working end to end across modern full-stack systems.

The Role:

💯As a senior technical leader, you’ll help design and deliver scalable, well architected software solutions while guiding teams toward best practices in engineering, testing, and delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

☁️Leading the design and delivery of modern, scalable software systems;
☁️Defining architecture, service boundaries, and system decomposition;
☁️Working hands-on across the stack, particularly with Java/Spring and React;
☁️Improving engineering practices around testing, automation, and developer productivity;
☁️Mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions;
☁️Advising stakeholders and customers on technical trade-offs and solution design;
☁️Reducing technical debt and improving long-term maintainability

What We’re Looking For:

👩‍💻You’ll be a senior engineer with strong architectural judgement and a passion for building well-designed systems.

Essential experience:

👩‍💻Strong background in Java (Spring) and React within full-stack environments;
👩‍💻Experience designing and delivering microservice-based architectures;
👩‍💻Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and system decomposition;
👩‍💻Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases;
👩‍💻Strong focus on testing strategies, automation, and quality;
👩‍💻Containerisation and cloud experience (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS); and
👩‍💻Confident mentoring engineers and leading technical decisions

Nice to have:

❤️Experience in regulated or public-sector environments;
❤️Exposure to cloud platforms beyond AWS (Azure / GCP);
❤️Familiarity with modern UI frameworks or accessibility-focused design;
