Data Solution Technical Lead – AWS – SC & NPPV3 Cleared

We’re looking for an experienced Data Solution Technical Lead to lead the design and delivery of a complex AWS-based data platform within a major public sector transformation programme.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, working closely with engineering teams, architects and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable data solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of AWS data solutions using Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue and associated services.
• Own High-Level and Low-Level Designs covering architecture, data flows, integration and security.
• Oversee data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, transformation and data modelling.
• Provide technical direction to engineers, ensuring high standards of delivery.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and actionable engineering tasks.
• Support data quality, record linkage, monitoring and platform optimisation.

Essential experience:

• Active SC & NPPV3 clearance
• Strong hands-on AWS data engineering and architecture experience.
• Extensive experience with Redshift, Glue, SQL and ETL/ELT.
• Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Data Engineer or Data Architect.
• Strong understanding of data integration, data quality and scalable cloud architectures.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical leadership skills.

Government delivery experience and knowledge of security-sensitive environments would be advantageous.
