DevOps Engineer | Outside IR35 | Remote

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support a technology project, working across the maintenance, monitoring and improvement of live cloud services.

The Role

You will support AWS-hosted applications and services, proactively monitoring production environments and investigating technical issues. The role requires a mixture of cloud, application and operational experience, alongside the ability to work directly with client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live services and respond proactively to emerging issues.
• Investigate and resolve application bugs, incidents and performance problems.
• Support applications and infrastructure hosted within AWS.
• Troubleshoot services developed using Java, .NET, Node.js or Python.
• Work directly with client stakeholders during investigations.
• Contribute to service improvements and operational resilience.

Essential

• Strong AWS experience, including EC2, ECS, RDS, DocumentDB and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of Java or .NET/C#.
• Knowledge of Node.js or Python/Django.
• Experience monitoring and supporting live production services.
• Strong incident investigation and troubleshooting skills.
• Previous client-facing experience.

Desirable

• Scala experience.
• Jenkins experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale public-sector services.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and optimisation.
