AI Governance Lead

SR2 is supporting a major transformation programme focused on designing a fully agentic solution for a Governance, Risk and Compliance function. We are seeking an experienced AI Governance Lead to define the Responsible AI frameworks, policies and controls required for its safe and compliant adoption. You will work across AI governance, model risk, privacy, assurance and regulatory compliance while engaging senior risk, legal, compliance and technology stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive AI governance, risk and control framework for the proposed agentic solution.
- Define Responsible AI principles, policies, guardrails and operating procedures.
- Assess risks relating to AI models, autonomous agents, data, privacy, security and regulatory compliance.
- Design human oversight, accountability and escalation mechanisms for agentic AI.
- Establish monitoring, auditability, traceability and ongoing assurance requirements.
- Define governance across the AI lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment and operation.
- Facilitate workshops with risk, legal, compliance, audit, privacy and control stakeholders.
- Support the overall solution architecture and platform assessment with clear governance requirements.
Required Experience
- Strong experience in AI governance, Responsible AI, AI risk or model risk management.
- Demonstrable experience designing governance frameworks, policies, controls and operating models.
- Understanding of the risks associated with generative AI, large language models and agentic AI.
- Knowledge of relevant AI regulation and standards, including the EU AI Act, ISO 42001 and NIST AI RMF.
- Strong grounding in data privacy, information security and regulatory compliance.
- Experience establishing monitoring, audit, assurance and risk-management processes.
- Previous experience working within a complex or highly regulated organisation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and senior-level communication skills.
