Project Manager – SC Cleared – Cost Optimisation

We are recruiting multiple experienced Project Managers to support a major cost optimisation programme within central government. The roles are looking to start ASAP with contracts lasting 6-12 weeks.

The roles focus on converting negotiated supplier savings proposals into structured, deliverable implementation plans and driving governance and tracking across multiple suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Consolidate and baseline supplier savings proposals, identifying risks, assumptions and gaps
• Develop clear implementation plans (workstreams, milestones, timelines, dependencies)
• Establish governance and reporting cadence to track savings delivery
• Provide concise written and verbal briefings to senior stakeholders
• Track progress against savings targets and manage delivery risks

Savings themes include AI adoption, nearshoring, margin and rate optimisation, contract extensions and procurement consolidation.

Essential Experience

• Strong project or programme delivery background
• Proven experience building structured delivery plans
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience managing third-party suppliers
• Comfortable operating in complex or government environments

Desirable:

• Awareness of commercial contract structures
