Product Manager – Data Platform (Contract)

I’m supporting a consultancy working on a large-scale enterprise data platform transformation for a major UK organisation and we’re looking for an Product Manager to lead the product function.

This role sits at the heart of a programme modernising data ingestion, real-time processing, and analytics platforms used across high-traffic digital products. You’ll lead a team of Product Managers and own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the platform as it evolves.

What you’ll be doing:
• Owning the vision and roadmap for an enterprise data platform
• Leading and coaching a team of Product Managers
• Working closely with engineering leadership on scalability, reliability, and cost
• Translating organisational needs into clear product outcomes
• Driving adoption and usability across internal teams
• Ensuring data quality, governance, and security are built in
• Bringing external best practice into platform strategy

What we’re looking for:
• Senior product leadership experience across complex data or platform products
• Proven experience aligning multiple squads around shared outcomes
• Strong technical literacy across modern data platforms and event-driven systems
• Comfortable operating independently in ambiguous environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Metrics-driven, outcome-focused mindset

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and large-scale data modernisation programmes is highly desirable.
