£75,000 – £90,000 bonus and shares

The Opportunity

An established cloud and platform engineering consultancy is looking for an AWS Senior Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms for a range of public and private sector clients.
You’ll work hands-on across modern AWS environments, partnering closely with engineering teams to improve developer experience, reliability, and security. This is a great role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing technical direction, and mentoring others while remaining deeply technical.
The Role
- Designing and operating AWS-based platform components
- Building infrastructure using Terraform
- Improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Supporting containerised workloads using Kubernetes/EKS
- Enabling cloud-native patterns with application teams
- Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Creating reusable templates and platform patterns
- Contributing to platform reliability, scalability, and security
- Mentoring and sharing knowledge across teams
About You
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS platform engineering
- Solid IaC experience (Terraform essential; CDK/CloudFormation a bonus)
- Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms
- Good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices
- AWS networking knowledge (VPCs, load balancing, connectivity)
- Comfortable working in client-facing or consulting environments
- Clear communicator with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
