We’re supporting a major UK Government digital transformation programme focused on building next-generation identity and access platforms used across public services. The delivery partner’s multidisciplinary team includes software engineers, DevOps, QAs, and product specialists working in a fast-paced agile environment.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you’ll bridge product vision and technical delivery — ensuring business needs are clearly captured, refined, and translated into a high-quality, delivery-ready backlog.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, process, and delivery, and who can confidently navigate both business and engineering discussions.

Due to the nature of the role, active SC clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture, define, and elaborate detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work closely with technical and delivery teams to build and maintain a well-structured backlog aligned to sprint priorities.
• Produce operational process documentation, workflows, and artefacts, securing stakeholder sign-off.
• Support backlog refinement and sprint planning with the Product Owner and Delivery Manager.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure technical feasibility and clarity of requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of agile and delivery practices within the team.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical within large-scale government programmes.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based digital platforms and associated services.
• Skilled in user story writing, backlog management, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Ability to produce clear operational and process documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working alongside engineering, QA, and DevOps teams in agile delivery environments.
