Lead a major digital records and information management workstream, taking ownership of the strategy, team and delivery of a complex records remediation programme.
This is a senior leadership role requiring someone who combines strong records-management expertise with the ability to lead teams, set direction and drive a complex programme forward.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the digital records remediation workstream, setting the strategy, priorities and delivery approach.
- Lead and provide clear direction to the existing records and information management team.
- Drive progress across a large and complex digital records backlog.
- Establish clear approaches to retention, remediation, archiving and defensible deletion.
- Provide senior subject-matter expertise across records and information management.
- Advise senior stakeholders and executive forums on risks, priorities, options and key decisions.
- Coordinate activity across records, technical, operational, legal and governance teams.
- Translate complex records-management issues into practical, deliverable actions.
- Establish sustainable governance and controls to prevent future records backlogs.
Essential Experience
- Significant senior-level experience leading records management, digital records remediation, information management or large-scale records transformation programmes.
- Demonstrable experience leading and directing teams, rather than operating solely as a technical SME.
- Strong records and information management expertise, including retention, disposal, remediation and governance.
- Experience taking ownership of complex programmes or workstreams and driving them through to delivery.
- Credibility working with Director, SRO or executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and regulatory requirements surrounding corporate records.
