SC Cleared AWS Solution Architect

We’re supporting the delivery of a large-scale cloud transformation programme and are looking for an experienced SC Cleared AWS Solution Architect to join a high-performing team. This is an opportunity to shape cloud-based solutions within a complex enterprise environment, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to define architecture that is secure, scalable and aligned to long-term strategic goals.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for producing end-to-end solution designs for cloud-hosted services, ensuring architectural decisions balance technical quality, security, cost and operational requirements. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you’ll provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle and help guide engineering teams through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality solution designs for AWS-based platforms and services.
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical architecture.
• Ensure solutions align with security, governance and architectural standards.
• Support delivery teams by providing architectural guidance throughout implementation.
• Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews and architecture governance.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Essential

• Active SC Clearance.
• Strong experience designing and delivering solutions within AWS cloud environments.
• Proven background producing end-to-end solution architecture for complex enterprise systems.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, security and infrastructure design principles.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams alongside engineering and product functions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

• AWS certification (Associate or Professional level).
• Experience working on UK public sector or regulated environment programmes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.

• £550-600 per day
